Jeffrey J. Braun, Ph.D.

Joined Evansville Physics Faculty in 1984

Prof. Braun recived his Ph.D. from Oklahoma State University in 1974, with a dissertation in relativistic quantum theory. Since joining the University of Evansville faculty, he has been active in the area of optics and atomic spectroscopy, leading research projects in holography, phase conjugation, and saturated absorption spectroscopy. Prof. Braun twice chaired the AAPT's national Committee on Undergraduate Education, UE's Faculty Senate, and his Physics Study Guide, published by Addison-Wesley, is now in its 3rd Edition. He has given numerous presentations on his research and on various issues in undergraduate physics education.
