Physics, like everything else in the universe, is forever evolving as new discoveries take it in new and exciting directions. This fact is well known by the the University of Evansville's Department of Physics. The faculty in the physics department possesses a wealth of experience and expertise that highly motivated students expect and demand. The department highly encourages its students to participate in undergraduate research projects, either through a summer research experience outside of the University or through an independent research project supervised and assisted by one of its own professors. It is the department's belief that participating in undergraduate research will give students better insights into current fields of study in physics and will provide a solid stepping stone for going to graduate school.
